At Longwick we strive for excellence and as we are a Church of England School we also aim for excellence in this status. Longwick is renowned as having a distinctive identity and ethos, where the development of social, spiritual and emotional intelligence of our pupils is as important to us as the academic achievement.
It is recognised that being a Church of England school has a great impact on standards and all round education. The proportions of Church schools regarded as 'good' or 'outstanding' by Ofsted is higher than the national average. 92% of Church of England Primary schools are rated 'Good' or 'Outstanding' under the SIAMS inspection framework, which assesses levels of spiritual and pastoral support. At Longwick this is indeed true as we are categorised ‘Outstanding’ in all areas of the Church inspection.
