Welcome to Forest School at Longwick
Forest School is offered to all children at Longwick School and lasts usually for half a term to enable continuity. It promotes the holistic development of children by encouraging child-initiated play, risk taking and learning in a natural environment. Through observation and positive encouragement, the Forest School Leader provides activities and resources so children can use their preferred style of learning and move their learning forward. This promotes self-confidence, giving children a greater sense of self-esteem and building their resilience.
