If you are interested in your child  becoming part of our Longwick learning community please contact us directly and we will be happy to arrange a visit for you.

There are two normal points of admission into Longwick School. The first is into Reception Class; children normally enter the Reception Class in September of the school year in which they turn five. Our admission number for children into Reception Class is currently 30. The second normal point of admission into Longwick School is into Year 3 where the class sizes are set at 34.  Children typically enter Longwick into Year 3 in September of the school year in which they turn eight, from our Linked School (Great Kimble C of E Infant School). Longwick’s admission number is increased by 4 for entry into Year 3.  As a Voluntary Controlled School, all admissions are regulated by the Coordinated Admission Scheme for Primary Schools in Buckinghamshire.

An application for your child to join our school  can be made at any time during the school year.  Please contact the school office where we will be able to advise on how to navigate the process. These applications will be processed through the “County In-Year Admissions Scheme”. Applications for admission at any time may be made by parents/carers on-line via the link below.
All children entering our Reception Class are most welcome to start full-time in September; however as partners in education with parents, we are happy to discuss individual needs and adopt a flexible approach.
The Admissions Criteria as set down in the County Booklet is adhered to in the case of reviews.  Headteacher and representatives from the Local Authority meet to discuss cases which do go to review. This would normally happen when numbers over 30 in KS1 occur.
