Welcome to Longwick Church of England Combined School.

I have the privilege of leading this wonderful school tucked away in Longwick village. Longwick CE School is a ‘Good’ School with ‘Outstanding’ features (OFSTED November 2023), where children and adults work together as a strong, nurturing team. We offer children an excellent education in a Christian, value-based environment.

Our vision, Grow, Flourish, Fly, is rooted in the Parable of the Mustard Seed,

 ‘Matthew 13:31–32’. This parable captures our belief that every child has extraordinary potential. With the right nurture, challenge and care, they can grow in confidence, character and capability.

Longwick is proud to be a Church of England school serving the village and wider community. We are closely linked with St Mary’s Church, whose Christian foundation supports our ethos and provides a strong framework for our values education. At the same time, we are a fully inclusive school and welcome families of all faiths and none. In our school, children are encouraged to explore ideas, ask thoughtful questions and develop their own understanding of the world.

Our rural setting enriches learning and outdoor experiences, to help children develop curiosity, creativity and a deep appreciation of nature. These opportunities strengthen our curriculum and support children to become confident, resilient learners.

Our values — responsibility, perseverance, respect and curiosity — shape our expectations and culture. They guide behaviour, learning and personal development, helping children grow academically, socially and spiritually.
