Collective Worship
Collective Worship/Assemblies
As a Church of England school we have strong links with St Mary’s Church in Princes Risborough and with the Oxford Diocese. We hold daily acts of collective worship in the form of worship following the Anglican Liturgy.
The school preserves and develops its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with St Mary’s Church, Princes Risborough.
Our Christian Values explicitly linked to the Bible are: Respect, Perseverance, Wisdom, Peace, Responsibility and Compassion
To underpin our values we use the parable of The Wise and The Foolish Builders Matthew 7, verses 24-27
The following is the pattern for assemblies:
Monday- Whole School
Tuesday- Whole School
Wednesday- Whole School
Thursday- Whole School Celebration of work and achievements
Friday- Whole School School Values Celebration Assembly with Rector David Williams, Curate Pat Kerr or Children's Worker, Jenni Kerr
Times: Monday to Friday at 09.00am
Parents and visitors are welcome to join the school for assembly and are invited to special class led worship each half term.
Parents who do not wish their children to take part in Collective Worship have the right to withdraw them in line with the DfE requirements and need to inform the Headteacher. The school will provide supervision for such pupils.
Parents Assembly Participation
Thank you to those parents who have taken the time to share their careers with our pupils. These informative and special assemblies have inspired and enthralled the children. From a scientist to a helicopter pilot,a nurse to a mounted police officer we have been able to show the children what variety there is in their future career choices.
If you would like to share your career with our children please contact the school office.
