I just wanted to congratulate Year 4 on their assembly this morning.
You reinforced what X had told me, that the children created their own assembly, planning and producing it together.
I have noticed that in Year 4, our lovely group of children have been taking more responsibility for their own actions, their attitudes to others, their environment and the world around them, and of course their learning. It is lovely to watch them growing in responsibility and self-reliance.  
Their performance this morning showed them to be a credit to the school and themselves - I was very proud of each and every one of them.  I was delighted to see so many parents there too, showing how supportive they are of their children - surely a winning combination.

My thanks to you for fostering such a spirit of independence in our children.  Perhaps most importantly, they genuinely looked as though they were enjoying themselves - X blowing out the candle was the perfect finale.
