School Council
At the beginning of every school year, each class chooses who they would like to represent them on the Student Council. Hopeful candidates put theselves forward and their classmates vote for two pupils.
The School Council meets with Mrs Wakefield once a month to put forward ideas of how the school can be improved and made even better than it already is.
The children work hard liaising with their classmates to bring ideas for positive changes, which are worked on together.
Some examples include:
- A quiet and reflective prayer before lunch in the dining hall by each class.
- The purchase and agreed positioning of an outdoor playground clock.
- Longwick's Got Talent was put back on the calendar.
- The children helped to design our school celebration day for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
