Welcome to Cedar (Year 5)

We are all looking forward to working with you this year, investigating a range of topics that we know you will really enjoy. The topics will offer you lots of exciting and fun learning experiences.

Remember, we are all here to help and support you, so if you have any questions, or want to discuss anything with use, please come and talk to us.

  • One activity from the homework grid

 

Please remember:

 

  • You should read EVERY DAY – please sign the reading record and bring it back into school for Mr H to check
  • Homework Folders are due in on a Wednesday
  • New homework is set on a Friday
  • Spelling tests take place on a Friday
  • PE is Tuesdays (Indoor) and Thursdays (Outdoor)
    Please come to school in your Longwick School PE Kit ready for our PE session.

 

Our Longwick PE Kit:

  • Trainer or plimsolls in black or white
  • School PE T-Shirt in jade
  • Shorts in navy
  • Plain Track suit top in navy
  • Plain Tracksuit bottoms in black or navy (in winter)

Earrings should be removed for our PE sessions. If you can’t remove them yourself, please make sure you have them taped to avoid injuries.

  • Images Shed from Literacy Shed We use Literacy Shed as a school as part of our English Curriculum. This part of the website has some intriguing pictures to inspire writing which you can use at home.
