Year 6

School closure

Hello Year 6,

This week's learning grid has been uploaded; there is a Maths, Literacy and Topic task for you to complete each day.  Remember to try and keep a diary throughout this time - I'm sure when you're older it'll be interesting to look back on!

I hope you are all keeping active.  Have you been trying out PE with Joe Wicks?  I've been keeping my daily mile fitness up by playing with my dog Maisie in the garden!

Make sure you keep reading and talking about your favourite books with your friends and family; I've spent lots of evenings catching up on all the books I've been meaning to read.

This is the perfect time to try to learn a new skill; I've set myself the challenge of learning calligraphy (a decorative handwriting) and have been trying my best to write in fountain pen to do it!

Remember our thought of the week from a couple of weeks ago: "no act of kindness is ever wasted" and keep spreading kindness around your house.

Keep well and I look forward to seeing you all very soon.

Miss Elkins

Home learning tips

Have a look at this document - it has lots of top tips for working at home.

Votes for schools - tasks to do at home!

During collective worship and some of our class PSHE lessons, we have been looking at different big questions (such as whether petrol and diesel cars should be banned).  A new presentation will uploaded each week with a new question to consider - why not ask your family what they think during dinner?  Remember to upload your opinions on the website and see how they compare to others when the results are released.
